On June 14, 2023, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) added two new substances to the REACH Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), bringing the total to 235 entries.
The Candidate List currently includes entries for 235 chemicals that may pose a risk to human health or the environment. It is the responsibility of businesses to manage the risks posed by these chemicals and to provide customers and consumers with information on the safe use of these chemicals.
On 14 June 2023, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) added two new chemicals to the Candidate List. One is toxic for reproduction and the other is persistent and bioaccumulative. These chemicals are used, for example, in the production of inks, toners and plastic products.
